My work is a result of process. I try and maintain a free and organic method of construction that creates a loose and multifaceted narrative washed in symbolism and iconic references. This busy and illustrative presentation of images affords the viewer the opportunity to come up with their own interpretation of the themes and character identities. I have always enjoyed the idea of a dialogue between viewer and art and I enjoy giving the person looking at my work just enough information and visual direction to start interacting with the painting. In leaving this trail of images it initiates the viewer's imagination to assign the presented characters with roles and personalities and come up with different storylines of what is happening in the paintings much in the same way that they were constructed. I have always enjoyed the idea that a painting can be viewed differently each time a person looks at it.
